Sculpture – Assembly of Incidental Composition

More work with packaging materials by recycling already recycled materials to build new forms. Recently, these forms were inspired by the Japanese philosophical aesthetics of Wabi Sabi, of finding beauty in the everyday, in nature, the imperfect, the torn and aged. At a recent residency in Japan, I experimented with seaweed and embroidery incorporating Kombu and Cornish seaweed in collages and sculptural pieces.  (See a record of the work in the little booklet ‘Japan 2025’ in News.)
